Keinemusik

February 7th, 2012  Music, Record Covers

Keinemusik is one of those small electronic labels that seem to thrive on the other side of the Atlantic, but might wither here, due to our (debatably) regrettable lack of club culture. Like our favorite midwest label Ghostly International, Keinemusik has a strong design aesthetic backing its sound, thanks to artist and label-mate Monja Gentschow. Her watercolors and hand-drawn font are an unconventional approach to house/techno packaging, but the disconnect is pretty refreshing in such a black, vectored, san-serifed music genre. Get it, girl.

This video from Berlin videographer duo Superiest is a nice little intro to the label.

Gentschow seems to do the packaging for every release.
