99 Records was a label run out of the eponymous NYC record store from 1980-1984. It was located at 99 MacDougal Street in the Village, a storefront which now houses a very niche Indian restaurant. They put out some of the best indie, dub and new wave stuff of the time – ESG, The Bush Tetras and Liquid Liquid, to name a few. Listen below!
